Flickering map

The aerial imagery we license is put together from many different data sources (satellite imagery, high-resolution imagery for cities, etc.) which, in general, do not match as the source data they are generated from, was obtained at different times.

The map shown in your video consists of different images that are pasted together. We use a complicated algorithm to paste all those images together and try to give you an outcome with the same resolution of image, unfortunately, there is only so much that can be done given the inconsistent imagery.

Each video is unique, so you might see this in some videos and then the next time it’s better. As the camera is at a different height we will pick a different map tile that you did not see before.
